THE STORY BEHIND THE CONFERENCE.

The Leave a Legacy Business Conference is the business event of year! After starting her own business, Pure Life Stationery, Tahirah realized that there was a lot of "behind-the-scenes" work that went into launching a product or service and running a successful business. So, she decided to create a business event where small business owners could learn and grow with one another.

Tahirah is very passionate about family and business. She understands that small business owners, especially minority-owned business owners, are less likely to be successfull and to leave their children with a successful company. She, like other Black women, had to start from scratch. Having no successful family members to look up to, no background in business, and little to no support, she started Pure Life Stationery with nothing but a vision to see her family break barriers. Now, she aims to leave her three children with assets, not liabilites. Thus, she named her business conference, Leave a Legacy.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

The Leave a Legacy Business Conference is for new entrepreneurs who want to learn more about business-startup and the basics of running a small business. You should attend the conference if you want to turn your side hustle/hobby into a profitable business.

The Conference is also for seasoned entrepreneurs who have had a business for 3-10+ years, but have not seen the conversions or results they would like. At the conference, you will gain the tools necessary to implement new business strategies that will turn your "baby"  into a lucrative business.

WHAT WILL I LEARN?

The Leave a Legacy Business Conference will include 2-3 speakers on marketing, finances/bookkeeping, and branding. You will learn the best-business practices as it relates to turning your social media followers into returning customers. You will also be taught the basics of business taxes and how to effectively organize and manage your business finances. The Conference will also provide you with insight on how to create the perfect brand for your target audience.

In addition to the knowledge provided by our guest speakers, you will also gain first-hand insight from other attendees with similar brands and industries as you. Feel free to bring your business cards to collaborate with other brands!

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Please arrive in Business attire. No jeans. This is a professional event and we want our guests to look the part. A photographer will be on site and available for professional branding photos and/or headshots. Feel free to come representing your brand colors.
